Jesus Bermudez

Jesus Bermudez, 37, was found guilty Wednesday of felony predatory criminal sexual assault of a child by Kane County Circuit Judge Donald M. Tegeler, Jr., according to the Kane County state’s attorney’s office.

Around 2005, Bermudez sexually assaulted a child he knew who was younger than 13 at the time, prosecutors said.

His next court appearance is scheduled for August 15, the state’s attorney’s office said. Bermudez faces a prison sentence of six to 30 years and must register as a sex offender for life.
