The brother of late TV presenter Caroline Flack has died six years after the former Love Island presenter took her own life.

Paul Flack was reportedly found unresponsive at his home in Norwich on June 21 and taken to Norfolk and Norwich Hospital, where he died.

The graphic designer and artist died just three days after his 55th birthday, and is survived by his partner and their two children.

The Eastern Daily Press reported that a provisional post-mortem was conducted, and his cause of death found to be cardiac arrest due to hanging.

Coroner Yvonne Blake said an investigation would be needed before the circumstances surrounding his death could be fully established.

An inquest into his death was opened at Norfolk Coroner’s Court on Monday, and will be held on October 23.

Paul’s final Instagram post remains a tribute to his sister, who died in 2020 after losing her Love Island presenting role amid the looming threat of an impending assault trial.

Sharing a picture of them together, Paul wrote: “This will be my last post here. May those who know feel shame for eternity. Love you Caroline.”

Mr Flack appeared alongside his mother Christine and sister Elizabeth in the 2025 documentary Caroline Flack: Her Life and Death.

He said in the film Caroline was the first thing on the family's minds when they wake up, as they gathered around her memorial bench.

Norfolk Police said: “Officers were called by ambulance after concerns for the safety of a man in his 50s at a property in Sandringham Road.

“He was taken by ambulance to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital but was sadly pronounced dead at 10.44pm [on June 21].

“The death is being treated as unexplained at this time but police do not currently believe there are any suspicious circumstances.”

Caroline Flack was one of the UK’s most recognisable and popular presenters at the time of her death, appearing on shows including Strictly Come Dancing and The X Factor.

She hosted Love Island for five seasons from 2015, before stepping down in December 2019 after claims that she had assaulted her boyfriend, which she denied.

Ms Flack had been banned from contacting her boyfriend, who supported her throughout the investigation and said he did not press charges, before a planned trial in March 2020.

She died by suicide on February 15 2020.

Her arrest had been highly publicised, and she faced intense press and social media scrutiny in the months prior to her death.

The day before her death, Ms Flack had discovered she would be prosecuted and feared further press intrusion, an inquest into her death heard.
