Caroline Flack's whirlwind career that sky-rocketed after her Love Island debut

TV presenter Caroline Flack enjoyed a whirlwind career that blossomed after she became the face of Love Island.

The former host of the dating show took her own life and was found at her London home on Saturday.

"We can confirm that our Caroline passed away today on the 15th February," a spokesperson for her family said.

"We would ask that the press both respect the privacy of the family at this difficult time."

Tragic Caroline first started her showbiz career as an actress when she starred in the movie Is Harry on the Boat? in 2001.

It was one of her first TV jobs and she worked alongside EastEnders' Danny Dyer.

The stunning former presenter posted a throwback clip from the film on social media in 2015, where she snogged Danny in the clip.

She wrote: "WORLD STOP! I’ve just found my first ever telly job online... And NO it’s not porn ... It was a love scene with Danny dyer. I was youngggg".

In 2002 Caroline made her appearance Leigh Francis' sketch show  Bo' Selecta! where Caroline began her successful career that led her onto presenting.

She made her big break on the sketch show by playing Bubbles, and appeared in several episodes as Michael Jackson's sidekick and girlfriend.

Leigh had played a formative role in Caroline's career and she previously credited part of her success to his help.

She wrote for  The Independent in 2008: "I hadn't done any presenting work before I met Leigh Francis (aka Avid Merrion from Bo' Selecta!) and so the avenue to the TV presenting world was opened up by him.

She added: "Leigh is so spontaneous. I had a part as Bubbles in Bo' Selecta! and I always wanted to work with a script but he taught me how to work without one. He also taught me how to be myself and relax more in front of the camera."

The famous TV host then made her debut on children's show TMi with Sam and Mark on Saturday mornings - which aired on BBC Two and the CBBC Channel.

Following this, Caroline hosted CBBC coverage of Comic Relief does Fame Academy. Later she replaced former presenter Kirsty Gallacher as co-host of Gladiators with Ian Wright for the second series on Sky One in 2009.

Later that year, Caroline became the presenter of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! NOW! alongside telly personalities Joe Swash and Russell Kane.

But she left the I'm A Celebrity spin-off show in 2011 to host The Xtra Factor, along with former contestant Olly Murs.

In 2014, Caroline and Olly were promoted to host the main ITV show and replaced Dermot O'Leary.

The pair went on to host the main show for one year before being widely panned by critics and viewers.

The following year Caroline spoke about the critics, and admitted she had learnt to ignore the hate.

She told The Sun: "Not everyone is going to like you so you have to filter it."

Flack went on to host the biggest British TV show to date since it launched in 2015 - Love Island.
