Caroline Flack's mum shares moving details of her daughter's funeral service

Caroline Flack 's mum has shared intimate details of the late star's funeral service in Norfolk, where two hundred relatives and friends gathered to say their goodbyes.

The 40-year-old former Love Island presenter took her own life in her London flat last month - just weeks before she was due to stand trial for common assault.

Her mother, Chris, spoke to their local newspaper, Eastern Daily Press, about the service with "lots of memories, smiles but mostly tears as we all remembered Carrie and the joy she had brought to all of our lives."

She thanked friends who had travelled from across the world to be there at Greenacres Colney, which included those who presented alongside Caroline on Xtra Factor, to "old and new from the world of Strictly", as reported by The Mirror.

A photo obtained by the local paper showed a white rose resting on the order of service, which had a picture of Caroline on the front.

The service, which lasted two hours, included tributes from family members, her closest friends, with two live performances by Lucie Jones, including a song written for Caroline - 'The Sulking Room' - by close friend Ciara.

Chris added everyone had the chance to share their stories about Caroline from her schooldays, college days and present day.

The family chose to wear T-shirts for charity made by Caroline's close friend and TV personality, Keith Lemon.

Guests were respectfully asked to not use their phones at the service or the wake, with no photos taken.

Details from the family emerged after Caroline's celeb pals Iain Stirling, Olly Murs and Laura Whitmore had paid heartfelt tributes to the star on the day of the funeral on March 10.

Heartbroken Iain talked of sharing stories and singing songs as a loving tribute to Caroline.

He said: "Yesterday we said goodbye to Caroline. It was a small services filled with her friends and family. The day was spent sharing stories, singing songs and of course some tears were shed."

Caroline was charged with assault by beating after a row at her London flat with her boyfriend Lewis.

In  a statement she wrote prior to her death which was released by her family  last month, Caroline insisted she was not a domestic abuser and said her 'whole world and future was swept from under her feet'.
