Caroline Flack's Love Island future revealed as show bosses speak out

This time last month Caroline Flack was getting ready to pack her bags and head to South Africa for the new series of Love Island but that all changed after she was charged with assault.

And now show bosses have spoken out as to whether Caroline , who has fronted Love Island since it launched on ITV2 in 2015, has a future on the show.

Caroline walked away from her "dream job" after an incident at her house on December 13 which led to her being arrested and charged with assault by beating, an offence she has pleaded not guilty to .

Revealing she wouldn't be hosting Love Island's first winter series, the 40-year-old said " Love Island has been my world for the last five years, it’s the best show on telly. In order to not detract attention from the upcoming series I feel the best thing I can do is to stand down for series six.

"I want to wish the incredible team working on the show a fantastic series in Cape Town.

"And on a really personal level I have never experienced such kindness and love in my whole life. Not just from friends and family who are the greatest but also from total strangers who send messages to me offering help and understanding."

Caroline has been replaced by Laura Whitmore for Love Island's South African stint and now bosses have revealed whether she'll be welcomed back in the future.

Speaking to  The Mirror , new Love Island runner Amanda Stavri said: "We are continuing to talk to Caroline.

"We are in constant contact and the door is open."

New host Laura has already teased a ahead of the new series launch on ITV" on Sunday night.
