Caroline Flack's friends will hold memorial service after private funeral

Caroline Flack's friends are planning a memorial service for the tragic star after her private funeral yesterday, it's claimed.

The former Love Island host's family and close friends laid Caroline to rest in a private service on Tuesday.

Caroline took her own life in her London flat on February 15. She was just 40-years-old.

As many of her celebrity friends were unable to attend they have decided to organise their own memorial in celebration of her life to be held later this month.

A source told OK! online : "There are a lot of people who want to celebrate Caroline's life and so there will be a memorial service held later this month for her.

"So many of her celebrity pals are still mourning and want a chance to say goodbye so they'll be able to do that at the memorial service.

"It'll be a fitting tribute to Caroline and will bring everyone who loved her and supported her together."

Among the mourners at Caroline's funeral was her boyfriend Lewis Burton, her close friend Olly Murs and her Love Island co-star Iain Sitrling and his girlfriend Laura Whitmore .

Iain has said that the service was packed with "stories and singing songs" as her loved ones gathered to pay their respects.

Writing on Instagram , Iain said: "Yesterday we said goodbye to Caroline. It was a small service filled with her friends and family. The day was spent sharing stories, singing songs and of course some tears were shed.

"As someone who had the worst FOMO in the world I know Carrie would have hated missing it. And her infectious laugh was painfully absent.

Caroline's boyfriend Lewis also paid tribute to her on the day of her funeral.

Posting a picture of the two of them on his Instagram stories, he said: "My little angel... I will love you forever."
