Caroline Flack labelled 'desperate' by Rylan as she makes Strictly confession

Caroline Flack was jokingly labelled "desperate" by Rylan Clark Neil on tonight's Strictly - It Takes Two.

The Strictly Come Dancing champion joined fellow winners Jill Halfpenny and Chris Hollins on the sofa to discuss what it wakes to lift the Glitterball trophy.

Caroline stunned Rylan by revealing that she was not asked to take part in the show - and that she actually rang up producers herself.

Discussing her experience, she said: "It only feels like day. It's one of those things that when you’ve done it, it never leaves you. You add this whole chapter to your life you never thought you’d have. I think I asked to do it as well. I asked them."

Shocked Rylan replied: "Oh really. Not desperate at all darling."

Caroline won the 12th series of Strictly with her professional partner Pasha Kovalev.

The Love Island presenter then confessed that being in a Strictly couple was like being in a real-life relationship.

She said: "It's never just abut one person. Being in a Strictly couple is like being in a relationship. You have to have all those same traits."

When Rylan started getting giddy with excitement, Caroline put a stop to any rumours he might start.

"Let me finish that before it goes anywhere else," said the presenter.

She explained: "You have the trust, honest, communication. Get rid of the romantic bit. It's a partnership. You don’t do it on your own.

"I would never have been able to do it without Pasha. If you get that right partner it works."

*It Takes Two airs weekdays on BBC Two at 6.30pm
