Caroline Everest: Concern grows for Sheffield student who went missing after night out

Concern is growing for a student who went missing after a night out with friends.

Caroline Everest, 18, was last seen at the Corporation nightclub in Sheffield at about 2.30am on Sunday.

The Sheffield Hallam University student has not made contact with her family or friends since.

She failed to turn up for a work as a shop assistant at the Meadowhall Retail Park on Sunday.

She also failed to arrive home for Sunday dinner, which police say is "extremely out of character".

Police have issued a photograph of Caroline, which was taken inside the nightclub before she went missing.

They are also reviewing CCTV footage in a bid to help trace her.

Superintendent James Abdy from South Yorkshire Police said: "We are carrying out extensive enquiries to find Caroline, including reviewing CCTV, conducting searches and speaking to friends, family and associates.

"We have appointed a family liaison officer to provide support and act as a dedicated point of contact for Caroline’s family, whilst we carry out enquiries to locate her and establish the reasons for her disappearance.

“We are appealing for help from the public, as we are extremely concerned for Caroline’s welfare and would urge anyone with information about her whereabouts to get in touch with police and tell us what you know."

Caroline is white, about 5ft 6in tall and slim.

When she was last seen she was wearing a black dress with a black cardigan and had her long dark hair in a ponytail. She also wears glasses.
