TEAM NEEDS

Offensive Tackle
The Panthers parted ways with left tackle Matt Kalil. Carolina did, however, sign center Matt Paradis and re-sign tackle Daryl Williams. The team will need to find Kalil’s replacement and continue to invest in pieces in order to keep Cam Newton upright and the running game chugging along.
Edge Rusher
After 17 seasons, Julius Peppers finally decided to hang up the cleats. The Panthers’ defense ranked in the bottom half of the league in the last couple of years. In 2018, their sack total dropped markedly from 50 to 35, which ranked No. 27 in the NFL.
Safety
The Panthers re-signed Eric Reid in the offseason addressing their strong safety need. However, with Mike Adams and Colin Jones gone, only Rashaan Gaulden and Da’Norris Searcy remain to start opposite him. Carolina will need to find a playmaking safety.
