Carole Baskin gives update on employee whose arm was almost torn off by tiger

Tiger King star Carole Baskin has given an update on her employee who suffered a horrific injury from a tiger at her sanctuary on Thursday.

Carole, 59, appeared on Loose Women where she spoke to hosts Jane Moore, Nadia Sawahla and Kaye Adams.

Volunteer Candy Crouser, 69, almost lost her arm after she broke protocol by sticking her arm into a tiger named Kimba's cage.

Carole said: "She is recovering in the hospital, it looks like they were able to save her arm, and we were so thankful of that.

"I hope to get an update from her husband today, but as you can imagine, with Covid, we can't visit her, only one person can go in and that's him.

"So we are really relying on him to keep her up to date with her recovery."

Carole also explained about her non-sexual relationship with a woman in the 1980s which grabbed headlines earlier this year.

Carole had put an advert in a newspaper for someone to cook and clean for her, with "no sex required", and the woman responded.

She said: "I have always seen men and women equally and I don't have a preference one way or the other, and boy did that get blown out of proportion.

"Back in the 80s I had actually run an ad in the paper because I don't cook, I don't clean, I'm a workaholic.

"And so my ad said something to the effect of, 'Wife needed cooking and cleaning a must, no sex required'.

"And she responded to that, and she was a great friend, she cooked and cleaned and took care of everything I needed, except for having a relationship because she was definitely a heterosexual, and I never even attempted anything with her because I knew that was not her leaning."
