Carol Vorderman wows fans with sexy dance as she recreates Cher tribute

Carol Vorderman is bowling over her fans once more as she dances and mimes to a Cher smash hit, calling back to the time she appeared as the singing superstar on Stars in Their Eyes back in 1998.

The presenter and DJ was hosting her 'kitchen disco' dance while presenting on Radio Wales ahead of a day of rugby watching for the big sports fan. She was miming along to The Shoop Shoop Song (It's in His Kiss) which Cher covered back in 1991 and it got to number one, the song was also featured in the film, Mermaids.

Dancing around in a chic black dress and tights, Carol reminded her fans she impersonated Cher back in the 1990s when she appeared on ITV show Stars in Their Eyes.

Carol wrote: "Cher....reliving a bit of my first time ever singing through a microphone on Celeb Stars in their eyes 1998...it's still on you tube. It was the first ever celeb version of any show...I was so bad."

The TV presenter hosts her Radio Wales lunchtime show every Saturday and was joined this week by Anneka Rice and rugby player Nathan Gough.

The video on her Instagram brought positive comments from followers, famous and otherwise. Dame Kelly Holmes wrote: "Yes Carol" followed by some fire emojis. Another commentor requested Carol have a dance-off with Dermot O'Leary, who often posts dance videos while he's hosting hi Radio 2 shows.

Carol's 'living her best life' Saturday comes after a week when she had to bat off suggestions that she was friendly with Matt Hancock and extra friendly with singer Gareth Gates after she was pictured standing by them at the Cheltenham Festival.

The former Countdown star stood firm on the 'cosying up' to Matt Hancock on This Morning earlier this week: “I was watching Honeysuckle with my mate Jules and I had a tap on the shoulder - ‘Hello, I’m Gina’, ‘Hello, I’m Matt’ - 90 second conversation then I turned round and watched the race. That’s it. There happened to be a photographer there.”
