Carol Vorderman to reunite with brother she hasn't seen in 2 years at Pride of Britain

Carol Vorderman is set to reunite with her older brother Anton after two years apart.

The Pride of Britain Awards host will be joined her big brother at the The Mirror's star-studded event on Saturday.

Carol, 60, will also take her two kids to the awards show over the weekend, which the former Countdown star will host alongside Diversity star Ashley Banjo.

When quizzed by OK! magazine about who will be walking down the red carpet with her on Saturday, the presenter explained her kids Cameron, 25, and Katie, 29, will accompany her along with her brother Anton who she hasn't "seen for two years."

"He was living in Holland then he went over to Thailand, as he has lung problems.

But then he got caught out there due to the pandemic. I’m excited to see him," she gushed to the publication.

The stunning star also praised her kids, who will also be joining her at the bash at Grosvenor House.

The maths whizz, who shares her two children with ex Patrick King, had previously been told her son was "unteachable with ADHD.

Beating the critics, Cameron proven he's as smart as his brainbox mother - recently gaining a master's degree in animation and visual effects at Dundee Uni.

"He is quite extraordinary," doting mum Carol said.

She continued: "He never thought he’d achieve that as he was told he would never amount to anything significant. Society almost tells you that you should be a little ashamed of your children having these issues – well, I say b******s to that!"

The star's eldest, Katie, has also found success in the academic world, with mum Carol dubbing her "super bright" in past interviews.

Carol's family reunion will come as the star is joined by a co-host for the first time ever at the The Mirror's Pride of Britain Awards.

Speaking of Diversity star Ashley joining to presenting team, Carol was full of love and praise for her future co-host.

"Ashley is a wonderful person and I’m delighted that he’s joining me because he has been involved for a few years now and it just feels right," she explained.

"The Pride of Britain Awards are incredibly special evening and show to be a part of."

Newbie Ashley added: "I feel like I've been a part of Pride of Britain for a few years now but the chance to co-host it next to Carol, who is a complete legend and a pro, is amazing."

Earlier this week, Carol prepared for her hosting duties by debuting a brand new look online.

Telling her Instagram followers she was getting ready to present the star-studded event, Carol looked stunning as she took a selfie showing off her sun-kissed do.

She captioned the snap: "Gone a bit blonder for the @prideofbritain awards.....thank you thank you Kala @kalas_hair_boutique. Loving it xx".

This weekend, Carol will once again be presenting the Pride of Britain Awards, in partnership with TSB, from London's Grosvenor House on a night which celebrates the nation's unsung heroes.
