Carol Vorderman shows off her glowing natural skin in make-up free selfie

Carol Vorderman has spent much of her career looking polished and glam for her TV viewers and is famous off screen for her fun loving fashion.

But in taking some time out from work she has embraced her natural beauty and with her witty Welsh sense of humour dubbed herself a 'happy scruff' as she shared her latest look to fans.

Taking to Twitter she shared a close-up make-up free selfie with her unkempt brunette locks flowing freely around her face.

She captioned the post: "Good morning world... I'm a happy scruff again....might at some point this week brush my hair and put some make up on and pretend to be a grown up ....but probably not."

Although the 60-year-old's stunningly clear complexion was the noteworthy it was her beaming smile which stole the shot as she was clearly enjoying her down time and is comfortable in her own skin.

Carol, who is a BBC Wales Radio Presenter, also shared on her Instagram with her week in West Wales.

She shared a video of her on what appears to be the beach with the sun setting behind her as she showed off her new aviator-style sunglasses and admitted she'd got a packed week planned while in her native patch.

She told followers on Instagram ahead of he trip: "Heading West tomorrow....so excited....for a bit of paddleboarding, a bit of sunbatheing, generally chilling out....which I'm ace at nowadays."

But the Welsh beauty isn't ready to ditch her glam anytime soon as she dressed to impress at her first 'big event' in 18 months in London, just days before heading back to her beloved Wales.

The former Countdown star was one of the guests to attended the star-studded MTV Awards 2021.

She posted: "It was so good to be at a big event again for the first time in 18 months....really loved it....the noise and the band and the laughing."

"I vote for LIVING," the star added.

In the image shared to her 147,000 followers, the mum-of-two rocked a black dress with a plunging neckline for the showbiz bash.
