Carol Vorderman has donated her private plane to carry personal protective equipment to NHS staff during the coronavirus pandemic.
The Welsh mathematician and aviation enthusiast, 59, shared snaps of herself next to her very own aircraft, as she revealed plans to use it to help the NHS.
The aircraft - which Carol named Mildred - will be used to ferry essential PPE to NHS workers across the UK.
In a post on Twitter, Carol wrote: "My Mildred and I (my aeroplane N242CV) have had some adventures
"BUT I want to tell you that right now she is being used by the amazing people at @BAESystemsAir to ferry PPE to where it's needed by our #NHS around the country.... #GoMildred #NHSThankYou."
Carol also revealed on Twitter she plans to use Mildred to fly solo around the world.
When asked why the plane has a US registration, she replied "Because I'm going to fly round the world in her solo and only FAA reg engineers available in most of the places I'll be landing...solely EASA reg engineers not allowed to work on her by international law. Same plane, different systems."
BAE Systems are a British multinational defence, security, and aerospace company. Their headquarters is in London but they have bases all across the United Kindom, including one in Glascoed, Usk.
The Usk centre was built in 1940 to supply munitions for WW2, the base still provides ammunition for the British Armed Forces.
This news comes after Carol unveiled plans to teach children maths during the nationwide lockdown.
Carol revealed she wanted to help parents who are running out of ideas of how to entertain their children at home, and said it will also benefit adults who also struggle with numbers.
The television presenter grew up in Prestatyn, moving to Wales aged just two weeks old after dad had had an affair.
