Carol Vorderman's daughter has applied for a job as an astronaut.
The former Countdown presenter, 60, shared a post from the European Space Agency after the company advertised its current job roles on Twitter.
She suggested her eldest child and mathematician Katie King, 30, decided to try her luck for a vacancy as an astronaut, which she's said to be "beyond excited" for.
It's set to be a huge opportunity for Carol's daughter as the ESA are hiring for the first time in 11 years, according to the post.
The original tweet read: "For the first time in 11 years, we're looking for new #astronauts.
"Media representatives are invited to a virtual press event on Tuesday, 16 February, to learn more about these exciting vacancies."
Sharing this to her own Twitter account, Carol wrote: "My girl is to infinity and beyond excited about this..... she's applying .... xx.
"Go Katie..."
Katie is a brainbox as she is also a research scientist and teaches maths alongside her mum for her online programme The Maths Factor.
Many of Carol's fans rushed to the comments section to praise her daughter for wanting to apply for the exciting role.
One wrote: "Excellent news, good luck x"
A second shared: "How amazing. Good luck Katie."
"The best of luck!" a third commented.
Carol shares daughter Katie and a son named Cameron, 24, with her second husband Patrick King.
The couple married in 1990 and later separated in 2000.
Carol is currently single but recently revealed she is "dating".
