She captioned the post: "Been doing a bit of cheeky filming today #rugby....should be on @bbcone soonish"
Carol also said she was ready and excited for the rugby to start again, she said: "Glad to be back in Autumn clothes tho....and that the rugby season is back.....love it, happy days" with red hearts and the Welsh flag emoji.
The former Countdown star also expressed more Welsh appreciation, posting a photo of a Welsh mountain against the blue sky to her Instagram story with the caption: "Heart here always, #Wales" with Welsh flag and red heart emojis.
She went on to talk to the camera in Welsh saying: "Bore da pawb, good morning everybody"
And: "Dyddiau Hapus, happy days" as she parked up for her hike.
Carol said that she was hoping to cover 15 miles and enjoy a mountain, reservoir, and waterfall during her hike, which she revealed earlier this week would be in the Brecon Beacons.
She added that the torrential rain wouldn't stop her as she sat in her car waiting for the downpour to pass.
