Carol Vorderman hits back at Twitter troll with gushing tributes to kids

Carol Vorderman has hit back at a troll who branded her a "liar" after she shared a sweet story about her son.

The former Countdown presenter recalled how her child looked after her after picking her up from a late night party.

She tweeted: "Last night, my son drove an hour to pick me up VERY LATE from a party, and when we got in the car he said ‘Mum, you've been working away for two weeks & you're tired so I've put a playlist together of things you like.

“‘Sit back, have a snooze if you want, I'll look after you.'”

When one troll dubbed her a "liar", she replied: “Sad isn't it when [the Twitter user] thinks love and kindness between a mother and son doesn't exist...

“I think she/he might be Scrooge circa 2019?”

And she has since gone to pay tribute to her children, telling Mail Online just how proud she is of them.

Speaking of son Cameron, she said: "Cam had learning difficulties growing up and went to a special school. He was dyslexic and had ADD.

“But he was - and is - so philosophical. And so intelligent. He has such a deep command for the English language. He is doing animation in Bristol.

“Basically my children - I have one who is a total academic and one that couldn't be. But they are so fantastic in two different ways.”

She then discussed her daughter, who is completing a PHD in nanotechnology, the Express reports.

She said:  “I am very proud of her, the hydrophobic cancer drug uses molecules that are allergic to water.

“So it doesn't have to mix with the blood. It is hoped to alter how you deliver treatments in certain cancer patients.”

She then joked: “The apple fell up the tree rather than from it.”
