Carol Vorderman has sold her £2.6m mansion whose name is an anagram of a rude word

Carol Vorderman has sold her luxury home which had been on the market for a whopping £2.6m - and the name of which is an anagram of the word 'b*****ks'.

The former Countdown star gave her fans a virtual tour of her mansion in Bristol, which she originally bought for £1.1million back in 2007, but later extensively renovated.

"Goodbye my happy place," she wrote on Instagram. "So many wicked parties, so many brilliant memories."

The 60-year-old from Prestatyn, who also has a second home in Pembrokeshire, then wished its new owners "every happiness, and health, and laughter" before revealing she was "moving on to yet more new adventures".

"Cheers SLOBLOCK. We had a blast," she added.

Sloblock Hall - christened after a sketch by Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie which poked fun at the conundrum round on Vorderman's popular Channel 4 quiz - features four reception rooms and three bathrooms.

Its main living area features an impressive wood burning open fire and glass ceiling, giving the whole property has a contemporary, modern look.

Meanwhile, the grounds feature a large pool, gym, several outbuildings and private parking.

As for those "new adventures," Vorderman is said to have recently invested in a van which she plans to transform into a motor home in which to go travelling.

She's also previously suggested a permanent move back home to Wales might be on the cards.
