Carol Vorderman gives sneak peek of dress ahead of Pride of Britain awards

Carol Vorderman has shared a sneak peek of dresses specially made for her to host this year's Pride of Britain awards, alongside Diversity star Ashley Banjo.

The Welsh TV personality has a "stage dress" and a "red carpet dress." She has also been given a selection of diamond jewellery to wear on the big night.

She shared several extreme close ups of the fashion items - giving away a sneak peek without revealing too much.

In her first Instagram post, where she shared her custom clothing with her 179,000 followers, she showed off a beautiful red fitted dress from behind. The stage dress features a flowing train and long sleeves.

She posted: "A little view of my beautiful dress made so kindly by @suzanneneville for the @prideofbritain awards tomorrow."

The presenter added: "I tried it on yesterday (see last post for the process of having a haute couture dress made) and it fitted like a glove.

"We have shortened the train as I move around the stage a lot and a long train is awkward for that.

"I love this dress.....thank you thank you @suzanneneville and all the team for spoiling me so so much.

"And, as ever, my stylist for the awards the beautiful @marcellastylist. Love you."

The 60-year-old went on to share a second post and a series of Instagram stories, detailing the behind the scenes of how her dresses were created especially for her and showing off her jewels.

Her second post showed previews of her red carpet dress which was a dark colour with metallic embellishments. With this she posted a preview of some impressive jewellery including some stunning diamond earrings.

She captioned the post: "You can be more playful with dresses for the red carpet so @isabellkristensenofficial has made a wonderful gown for me for the @prideofbritain red carpet tomorrow. It's STUNNING. Can't believe how spoiled I am.

"I don't really wear jewellery but tomorrow @hsternofficial are providing the most stunning diamonds....here are just some they allowed me to choose from."

Her stories showed the dresses actually getting made and being fitted so that they looked perfect for her body shape.

Carol explained: "This is stage two of couture where they make a white toile of the dress and then fit it precisely to you. Then taking this toile they make the dress in the fabric."

She went on to show her chosen fabric was red and added: "Fits like a glove."

The Daily Mirror's Pride of Britain awards are a celebration of the achievements of truly remarkable people who make the world a better place.

The Pride of Britain awards take place at Grosvenor House in London and the event is due to air on ITV on November 4 at 8pm.
