Carol Vorderman finds it 'sad' that some fans focus on her 'big bottom' and not her career

Carol Vorderman has expressed her frustration that fans are so focused on her 'big bottom' instead of the work she does.

The 59-year-old television personality claimed that all the attention is placed on her appearance and found it 'sad' that she gets lots of comments about the way she looks.

Despite her famous assets, the mathematician does a lot of work with children from less privileged backgrounds and has written several books.

"One of the sad things is that people think I am only ever talking about the way I look," she said.

"I just choose to pay no attention to it.

"I was a free school meals kid. I got to Cambridge from a comprehensive. That just didn't happen in the 70s.

"Now I do a lot of work with kids from a similar background to me. I have my online maths school, I sell I-don't-know-how-many education books a year. But that never gets talked about."

"Instead it's,`how big is her bottom?'"

Just over a week ago, the former Countdown guru was cruelly trolled after opening up her children's maths lessons for free during the coronavirus pandemic.

The numbers genius usually charges £2 to access the classes on The Maths Factor but instead decided to make the video platform free while children stay at home during the crisis.

"Carol vorderman really needs to stop with whatever s**** she’s putting into her face she was absolutely beautiful at one time now she looks like a bloody gerbil storing food shocking," wrote one disgruntled fan in response to the videos.
