Carol Vorderman has spent a month in "the most beautiful house in the world" after fleeing Bristol. The Countdown whiz lives in Clifton, but is originally from Wales, and moved back home for a month to spend some time surrounded by nature.

Posting some snaps from Wales' wonderful rugged coast, Carol looks a vision of happiness after submerging herself in a bucket load of fun beach activities with her family. From climbing rocks to soaking up a blissful panoramic view of the open water from her bedroom, the 62-year-old maths legend said she is in "heaven".

In an gushing post to her Instagram followers, Carol penned: "MY FAVOURITE HOUSE IN THE WORLD. So I'm Welsh....go home for a month in June and rent the most beautiful house in the world,"

"All my fam, cousins, nieces, nephews, little ones...come over and stay and we lark around on the little beach, paddleboards, kids in the hot tub, wake up and walk 3 miles on an empty beach for a coffee in the village," Carol added. "No make up.

"Don't care about anything. Chilling and laughing and smiling,"

The regular This Morning guest then went on to say she "never wants to leave" as she told fans that her enviable holiday home is "pretty booked out" but there is still some availability for the rest of the year. Adding that the experience wasn't gifted, Carol shared her happiness as she said: "Just thought I'd share....wind or rain....not glam, not getting dressed up, just happy."

And it looks like Carol inspired some of her famous friends to return home, with former This Morning presenter Eamonn holmes commented: "That's medicine for the soul Carol.

"My dream. Every fibre within me says look for one in Northern Ireland."

After demanding Boris stepped down as PM last year, prior to his resignation, Carol called for a General Election on Twitter, writing: "I've had enough, have you? GENERAL ELECTION NOW."
