Carol Smillie has been praised for her new career as a celebrant, after she turned her back on television.
The 59-year-old former host of BBC's Changing Rooms is now officiating weddings and other formal ceremonies and she was hailed for the role she played in helping Scottish TV presenter Storm Huntley tie the knot with The LaFontaine singer, Kerr Okan.
Storm, 34, appeared on Channel 5's Jeremy Vine show on Thursday to speak about her wedding day on the banks of Loch Lomond, in which she married Kerr a month after they began planning their big day.
They picked a spot that was special to them by the water side and revealed that they had to ask some campers to leave so that they could proceed with their ceremony.

Speaking about former TV favourite Carol being the one who took them into married life, Storm said: "Carol Smillie, who’s now Carol Knight, does humanist ceremonies now and she was our registrar and she was phenomenal, absolutely brilliant.
"She’s a friend of our friend of ours and we didn’t know that she did humanist ceremonies, so it was kind of per chance. So Carole came along and married us.”
Jeremy Vine then asked: "Was it the best day ever?"

Storm replied: “It was incredible, absolutely spectacular. We did run a bit of a risk here cause we picked two outdoor venues on two different days in September in Scotland, and you know, fortune favours the brave cause the sun came out just as we were saying our vows and it was beautiful, absolutely spectacular.”
Explaining why they picked the location, Kerr said: "Yeah, Loch Lomond is a place that’s kind of special to Storm and there’s no better place, it’s a free venue!”
The wedding continued with its outdoor theme, with the the happy couple and guests enjoying the reception in a huge gazebo.
When it came to the first dance, the newlyweds accidentally stumbled into Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars as their turn on the dancefloor.
Storm said: "Our first dance was a bit of an accident because we’d taken a picture in the gazebo with all of our family, everyone left, we were left in the gazebo, the DJ was already playing, we can’t resist a dance so we started dancing and everyone just assumed that was our first dance.
"So Uptown Funk was now our first dance. It wasn’t planned that way!”

Kerr said that the evening was not complete without a visit from the police as the party continued into the night
He told Jeremy: "Well, it’s not a party in Motherwell unless the police arrive so the only difference this time was that no-one was hustled out of the venue!
"But they were very, very nice, they came in and congratulated us and let us keep partying into the wee hours.”
Carole Smillie was a regular on TV during the 90s and while Changing Rooms established her as a presenter, she got her big break on game show Wheel of Fortune.
She assisted Nicky Campbell on the UK version of the show from 1989 to 1994.
