- Carol Kirkwood’s husband, Steve Randall, made a special and unexpected appearance during her final appearance on BBC Breakfast.
- Steve presented Carol with a large bunch of flowers, despite telling her he would not be coming in. “You told me you weren’t coming in! You’re in trouble,” said Kirkwood.
- Randall added that he’s excited to spend more time at home with Carol and that he regularly wakes at 2:45 am to make her a cup of tea before she goes to the studio.
- Kirkwood married her Steve Randall, a police officer, in December 2023. This is her second marriage, having previously divorced cricket player Jimmy Kirkwood in 2008 after 18 years.
- At the time, she described the ceremony as a "perfect and romantic and intimate wedding," emphasising it was private rather than secret.
