Carol Kirkwood was still ‘in denial’ over leaving the BBC as she presented her final weather forecast on Wednesday (1 April).
In January, the 63-year-old announced she would be leaving the BBC after 28 years. The Scottish weather presenter first joined the BBC Weather Centre in 1998, before becoming BBC Breakfast’s main weather presenter in 2010.
Sitting down on the sofa with hosts Jon Kay and Sally Nugent, she was asked if she has accepted the idea that she is leaving.
“Not at all, I think I'm in denial, I'll probably rock up on Monday,” she said. “I'm going to miss everyone horribly.”
