Carntyne – Woman seriously injured in disturbance outside east end home

A woman was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a disturbance in Glasgow's east end on Saturday.

Police were called to an incident outside a property on Seagrove Street, Carntyne, at around 3am.

A 28-year-old woman was found to have serious injuries and taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

A 30-year-old man has been arrested and is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "It was around 3am on Saturday, July 6, police were called to a report of a disturbance outside a property on Seagrove Street, Glasgow.

"Emergency services attended and a 28-year-old woman was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for serious injuries. 

"A 30-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident. He is due in Glasgow Sheriff Court today and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
