Carmelo Anthony to heckler: 'The owner's right there. Ask for your money back.'

March 02--The New York Knicks stink.

We all know it, and you can be sure the players know it as well.

But that doesn't mean they want to hear about it, especially from their own fans at Madison Square Garden.

Carmelo Anthony certainly didn't late in the game on Tuesday night during a 104-85 loss to Portland. The star forward had the perfect response for a persistant heckler, whose seat was just a few rows behind that of Knicks owner James Dolan.

"He kept calling my name, calling my name, saying 'You guys suck, you guys suck,'" Anthony said after the game. "At that point I was trying to gather myself and I turned around, all I did was point at Dolan and told him, 'Look, the owner's right there. Ask for your money back.'

"He's calling me to tell me he's never coming to another game and we suck. You just don't want to hear that. I pointed to the owner and told him, you deal with that with him, maybe you can get your money back."

Security appeared to escort the suit-wearing fan from his seat soon after his confrontation with Anthony.

After pulling to 22-22 on Jan. 20, the Knicks have lost 15 of 18 games to drop to 25-37. They are 2-6 under interim Coach Kurt Rambis, who took over after Derek Fisher was fired last month.

"It gets frustrating," Anthony said. "The losing gets frustrating, disappointing. The way that we ended that game was disappointing. At that point I think my head was in the towel. I was just trying to breathe, just try to relax, kind of gather myself a little bit at that point."
