List manager Nick Austin has joined coach Michael Voss in leaving Carlton.

The AFL club said in a statement that Austin met with management on Tuesday afternoon and then resigned.

It capped a massive day at Ikon Park, with news breaking early in the morning that Voss had quit.

The coach had told football boss Chris Davies before last Friday's loss to Brisbane that he was leaving, and the news was kept quiet until Tuesday.

Austin had been in the role since 2020.

Carlton has experienced a huge turnover of key personnel since early last year.

President Rob Priestley, chief executive Graham Wright and Davies, who fronted the media on Tuesday afternoon to discuss Voss's departure, have all been in their roles for less than 18 months.

The Blues said Davies would oversee list management "for the foreseeable future".
