Carlos Zambrano discusses his comeback attempt with the Chicago Dogs: 'I want to come back to the big leagues'

CHICAGO _ Former Cubs pitcher Carlos Zambrano returns to the Chicago area next month as a relief pitcher with the Chicago Dogs, an independent-league team in Rosemont.

Zambrano, 37, pitched in Mexico last summer and last played in the majors in 2012 with the Marlins after spending the first 11 seasons of his career with the Cubs. The Dogs open their season May 17.
