Carlos Tevez is set to announce that he is quitting Boca Juniors.
The former West Ham, Manchester United and Manchester City striker has called a press conference tonight to confirm his decision after a fall-out with club vice-president Juan Roman Riquelme.
The pair have been unable to repair their differences despite several attempts of Boca's board to agree a truce.
And Tevez, 37, has cancelled his planned summer holiday to Miami so that he can make an official announcement.
It is a bitter blow for the Buenos Aires club.
It is not yet clear whether Tevez plans to continue playing.
He started his career with Boca as a 16-year-old and moved to Brazilian club Corinthians before a controversial deal took him to West Ham in 2006.
A year later he scored the winning goal at Manchester United to keep the Hammers in the Premier League.
But they were fined £50million for breaking rules regarding third-party ownership.
Tevez moved to Old Trafford and helped the Reds win successive Premier League titles and the Champions League.
But when United failed to take up a £30million option to sign him, he joined bitter rivals City.
Tevez's capture provided the Blues with the spark they needed.
He captained the team to the FA Cup – their first trophy in 35 years – in 2011.
And despite going on strike after a row with manager Roberto Mancini the following season, he returned to help them lift the title.
Tevez returned to Boca in 2014 after a spell with Juventus.
He left the club to play in China, but was back again in 2018.
