Romano wrote on X: "Carlos Forbs is set to join Club Brugge from Ajax, here we go! Deal done for €8.5m fee.
"The player is traveling to Belgium tonight ahead of his medical tomorrow.
"Forbs opted for the Brugge project over offers from England, Italy and Scotland."
Now, he has sealed his move from the Netherlands to Belgium for a fee of around £7.4m.
Of the two Glasgow teams, it was likely Celtic who were keen on the former Wolves man.
The Hoops were previously linked with Forbs back in the summer of 2023, during Brendan Rodgers' first few months back in Glasgow.
