Former Rangers defender Carlos Cuellar reckons the current team is even BETTER than the one that reached the 2008 UEFA Cup final.
The Spaniard spent just one season at Ibrox but it was a memorable one as Walter Smith's side came within 90 minutes of a European trophy.
Having secured a first league title in a decade, Steven Gerrard's side are looking to emulate that this term and they face Slavia Prague in the first leg of their Europa League last 16 tie on Thursday evening.
And the former centre-back reckons this Rangers team can go all the way to the final, and may be even better than the team he played in.
Cuellar told Marca: "It's a very aggressive team, very direct.
"They win it back and try to play very quickly. He (Gerrard) reminds me a bit of Klopp - in fact, I think he'll be his successor.
"Last season some Premier League teams called him but I think he'll sit tight in Glasgow and wait for Liverpool.
"This team can repeat (what we did), the authority and solidity they're showing makes me convinced they'll go far. They've played some really good games, like against Benfica.
"We were an even more direct team, this team has more quality."
The former centre-back was asked to name his key men from a fantastic season so far.
Cuellar replied: "I would choose, above, Morelos, El Bufalo. He has power, he presses, he scores goals.
"Also McGregor, he played with me but he still wins points on his own. Ianis Hagi has a lot of quality and James Tavernier is a full-back but scores a lot of goals."
