Carlos Corberan makes admission over Chris Hughton's Nottingham Forest sacking

Nottingham Forest will make the trip to the West Yorkshire to face sixth placed Huddersfield Town in the Championship on Saturday, September 18 (3pm kick-off).

Following Chris Hughton's sacking on Thursday, Forest have temporary appointed Steven Reid as interim head coach.

Reid will be in charge of the Reds for the first time since Hughton's departure.

Ahead of the encounter, the Huddersfield boss Carlos Corberan addressed Hughton in his Friday press-conference.

"When you see a coach is sacked you feel respect for him because he's a very important coach in England," Corberan told YorkshireLive.

"He did a good job last year to take them to a good safe position in the table but things have not started well for Forest and as a coach you know it's part of the job.

"It's never nice to see a coach sacked but we know it's part of our job."

Hughton, was appointed as Forest manager in the beginning of October 2020 after the sacking of Sabri Lamouchi, following the 2-1 home defeat to Bristol City.

The 62-year-old's tenure at the City Ground only lasted 11 months after Forest endured their worst start in 108 years with six defeats and one draw in the opening seven games.
