Leeds United secured their first piece of silverware last night with the Premier League Professional Development League Group North crown.
The under-23s have consistently impressed all season and while the players were coming in for widespread praise from fans on Twitter last night, coach Carlos Corberan did not go unnoticed.
In fact, many have suggested Corberan would be the ideal man to replace Marcelo Bielsa when he eventually departs Elland Road.
Ryan Edmondson was the hero at Colchester United on Monday evening as the Whites ran out 2-0 winners to secure their group crown.
However, better yet may be ahead for the under-23s as they continue in the Premier League Cup and await a play-off with the Group South winners to decide the national winners of the PDL.
