A pair of new fights have been added to UFC on ESPN 7 on Dec. 7, one of which includes a former interim UFC champion.
Former interim UFC welterweight champion and WEC titleholder Carlos Condit (30-13 MMA, 7-9 UFC) will make his return to the octagon in hopes of breaking his five-fight losing skid when he takes on Mickey Gall (6-2 MMA, 5-2 UFC), who is coming off a victory earlier this month, in a welterweight bout.
In addition, a featherweight pairing between Bryce Mitchell (11-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) and Matt Sayles (8-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC) has been added to the card.
MMA Junkie verified both bookings with a people close to the situation following an initial report from Post Sports. The people requested anonymity because the UFC has yet to make an official announcement.
UFC on ESPN 7 takes place Dec. 7 at Capital One Arena in Washington. The card airs on ESPN.
With the additions to the card, UFC on ESPN 7 now includes:
- Alistair Overeem vs. Walt Harris
- Stefan Struve vs. Ben Rothwell
- Claudia Gadelha vs. Cynthia Calvillo
- Aspen Ladd vs. Yana Kunitskaya
- Cortney Casey vs. Virna Jandiroba
- Carlos Condit vs. Mickey Gall
- Bryce Mitchell vs. Matt Sayles
