Mexican artist Carlos Amorales’ dynamic interactive sculpture takes centre stage in the NGV foyer. Over the years, Amorales has worked with a variety of media, including video, animation, painting, sculpture and performance.
His latest work takes the form of three suspended mobile sculptures, balanced by copper cymbals. It recalls the mid-century modernist forms of American sculptor Alexander Calder who was known for his public installations.
