Carlo Pedersoli Jr. says he’s been released by UFC, signed with Bellator

Carlo Pedersoli Jr. has a new home.

He made an announcement via Instagram that despite having one fight left on his UFC contract, he has been released by the promotion and has now signed with Bellator.

Italy’s Pedersoli (11-3 MMA, 1-2 UFC) has lost his past two fights by stoppage, first to Alex Oliveira and most recently to Dwight Grant at UFC on ESPN+ 3.

His lone UFC victory came in his promotional debut, a split decision win over Bradley Scott at UFC Fight Night 130. He also holds a win over highly touted Nicolas Dalby in Cage Warriors. Dalby recently announced he will be making his return to the UFC.

With Bellator heading to Milan, Italy, on Oct. 12, it’s possible, if not likely, Pedersoli could make his promotional debut in front of his home crowd.
