Carlo Ancelotti takes six Everton backroom staff with him to Real Madrid

Six members of Carlo Ancelotti's backroom staff have also now left for Real Madrid, the ECHO understands.

Everton were locked in negotiations with the Spanish giants this evening over the release of Ancelotti's team who are following him to the Bernabeu.

Ancelotti's return to Real was confirmed at 6pm following a remarkable day at Goodison.

And now his son, Davide Ancelotti, as well as Francesco Mauri, Luca Guerra, Simeone Montanaro, Manuel Morabito and Mino Fulco are to go with him to the Spanish capital.

Many of Ancelotti's backroom staff worked with him at Real Madrid when he was in charge between 2013-15.

Davide acted as one of Ancelotti's assistant managers, alongside Duncan Ferguson, while Mauri was the club's head of physical conditioning.

Guerra came in as a trusted sports scientist and data analyst, Montanaro was a video analyst, Morabito acted as a fitness coach under Ancelotti.

Fulco, meanwhile, was installed as a recovery and performance specialist by Ancelotti.
