Carlo Ancelotti says Everton talks over Jonjoe Kenny will wait

Everton say they will wait until the end of the season before discussing Jonjoe Kenny's future.

Kenny's season-long loan with Schalke officially came to an end yesterday but he is not eligible to play for the Blues again until next term.

And due to strict health and safety protocols around the Premier League's return, Kenny will not be allowed to return to Finch Farm until the campaign is over.

Carlo Ancelotti says he has kept tabs on Kenny's loan with the Bundesliga club but insists now is not the time to be discussing what happens next with the 23-year-old.

Everton have extended Djibril Sidibe's loan from AS Monaco until the end of the season but it remains unclear what the Blues' right-back department will look like next term.

“Yes, we know him really well and follow him how he plays," he said.

"He did a good season.

"But we will think about him at the end of the season.”

When asked, Schalke refused to comment on suggestions they still want to take Kenny on loan again next season.

Kenny left a message to the club on social media this week, saying 'Hopefully we see each other again'.
