Carlo Ancelotti believes no one should be thinking about the return of the Premier League right now.
The Premier League and EFL were suspended for three weeks on Friday due to fears of the spread of the coronavirus in the UK.
Twenty-one people have now died from the coronavirus in the UK, with all professional football in England called off until April 3 at the earliest.
There are differing opinions on whether or not football will be allowed to start up again at that point, with some suggesting that the entire season could be cancelled if the outbreak continues through April.
West Ham vice-chairman Karren Brady caused controversy on Saturday with her column in the Sun declaring that the season should be "null and void".
That would, of course, hurt Liverpool the most, with the Reds heading towards their first ever Premier League title.
And Everton boss Ancelotti, who won the Premier League with Chelsea, does not want to even think about the season restarting.
Speaking to Gazzetta Dello Sport , Ancelotti said: "It was time. It was a fair and correct decision in the face of the scenario of the past few hours.
"There was no way forward. Health is the priority. For everyone: teams, fans, the media, workers engaged in football.
"Restart? Who knows what will happen. In theory, we should get back to work on March 22nd, but if the general situation worsens, how can we think about resuming work?
"The needs of football will not count, but the health of the people. If the Coronavirus is still in full explosion, football will not be able to start again.
"How and how much to finish the championship? With extreme sincerity, I am not interested in the matter.
"And it seems to me that the seriousness of the situation has not yet been understood."
