Carlo Ancelotti outlines Fabian Delph plan and issues Everton injury update

Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Fabian Delph will not travel with the Everton squad to their game with Crystal Palace tomorrow.

Delph returned to the Everton starting line-up for the League Cup clash with Fleetwood Town on Wednesday night.

The game was the midfielder's first appearance for the Blues in around seven months, last turning out for Everton in the 3-2 loss to Arsenal back in February.

And although Ancelotti was impressed with what he saw from the former Manchester City man, he wants to give Delph more training sessions to be ready for a Premier League return.

He said: "After he was out for a long time, he recovered well and properly. He played 60 minutes, really well.

“I want to give him more training sessions to be ready for the Premier League."

While Ancelotti also confirmed that the only players he will be without for the game at Selhurst Park tomorrow are Mason Holgate and Jarrad Branthwaite.

“We have all the squad fit apart from [Mason] Holgate and [Jarrad] Branthwaite,” Ancelotti said in his media briefing. “The others are all fit and available.”
