Carlo Ancelotti on why Richarlison 'is back' for Everton and sets goal target

Richarlison has sparked back into life this season, scoring four goals in Everton's last four matches.

And Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti has identified exactly why the young striker has suddenly exploded into goalscoring form again.

At the beginning of this term, the Brazil star struggled to find his form having been suspended after the Goodison derby while also travelling significantly on international duty.

Now, though, Carlo Ancelotti says the attacker "is back" and the Blues manager expects Richarlison to comfortably surpass the 10-goal mark this season.

The Italian boss also stressed that the 23-year-old was a "top talent".

"He [Richarlison] is a better player than he was in the first part of the season," Ancelotti told his pre-match press conference before Southampton come to Goodison Park on Monday.

"Why? Now he is working with consistency and is focused.

"At the start of this season he was suspended for three games, against Liverpool [in October] he wasn't fit physically because of travelling a lot for the international games.

"Now, he is back and can easily, easily reach more than 10 goals this season.

"Richarlison is a top talent, that's it."
