Carlo Ancelotti on what Everton's triple injury blow means for Leeds United clash

Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that three Everton players will definitely miss their game against Leeds United this weekend - including key left-back Lucas Digne.

Leeds make the trip to Goodison Park this weekend to face an Everton side that started the season on fire but have stuttered a little more in recent matches.

The Toffees' preparation for the game has not been ideal, with Digne suffering a training ground injury that will keep him out for at least two months.

Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, Ancelotti confirmed that Digne and fellow full-back Seamus Coleman - injured during the international break - will both miss the game.

He said: "Lucas Digne had an injury, it is a big loss because he is a fantastic left-back.

"One of the best in Europe in this moment. We have to manage this, unfortunately during a season can happen that you lose important players and we have to be able to manage the situation.

"I think we will be able to adapt to the loss of Lucas Digne for two or three months. It was an unfortunate situation during training, unfortunately this can happen."

He added: "Seamus Coleman is doing his individual rehab and will not be available for this game. I hope he is available soon.

"We have to check him week-by-week."

Whilst Everton will welcome Jonjoe Kenny back for the game, it comes too soon for long-term absentee Jean-Philippe Gbamin.

Ancelotti said: "I think he's [Kenny] not fit 100%, but he's fit and has recovered from his injury. It wasn't an easy recovery but he is available to play.

"He's not at his best at this moment because he was out for three weeks, but now he's training with the team and soon he will be at 100%.

"Gbamin I think in two weeks he will be here, we decided to leave him to finish his rehab individually. When, I think in two weeks, he will be here - he will be ready to train and to play."
