Carlo Ancelotti has defiantly addressed Moise Kean's future at Everton.
The striker has been linked with a potential move away from the club just over a year after making the switch to Goodison Park from Juventus.
A loan return to the Serie A giants has been reported by some, with others suggesting a permanent move back to Turin could also be on the cards.
However, the Blues manager has confirmed that the 20-year-old is still in his plans and does have a future on Merseyside.
Ancelotti told his pre-Brighton press conference: "He has a future, of course, in Everton.
"The club made a big investment on him last season, he's young. This week he was not well and so he didn't train, he will not be in the squad tomorrow but only for this reason.
"Every one of us is sure that he has a future here and we are working on it every day."
Meanwhile, Everton are believed to be closing in on another incoming as the transfer window winds to a close.
Ben Godfrey is edging closing to a move to Goodison Park after talks between the Blues and Norwich City progressed over this week.
However, Ancelotti again refused to be drawn on addressing a player that does not play for his club.
"The situation is that I'm really happy the market is going to be closed in the next few days, so we're not going to talk more about this," the Italian added.
"There are a lot of rumours, a lot of speculation. There can be some surprise at the end , but honestly I want to talk about the game tomorrow that is really important.
"That's in my mind today, not the rumours or speculation that something can be true, something can be wrong."
