Carlo Ancelotti issues Crystal Palace warning to his Everton stars

Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti has warned his players of the challenge they will face when Crystal Palace visit Goodison Park this weekend.

The Eagles travel to Merseyside to face Ancelotti's side in the Premier League, with the two sides separated by three points in the table.

Everton currently sit eighth in the league after a four-game unbeaten run, while Palace have dropped to 14th after two home defeats in a row against Southampton and Sheffield United.

But Ancelotti is not expecting anything but a tough test against Roy Hodgson's side.

Premier League top scorer: Who leads the race for the golden boot?

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Ancelotti said: "I expect a difficult game. Palace have their own quality and a manager with lots of experience. With the support of our stadium I think we can have three points.

"Now we have to be focused. It is an opportunity to climb the table [against Palace]. We have to close this period and prepare for the end of this season. The games are really difficult."

Everton have a good record under Ancelotti though, with the Toffees losing just one of their last ten games.

The Toffees have also won the last two meetings between the sides at Goodison Park, with Palace's last victory against Everton coming back in September 2014.
