Carlo Ancelotti identifies 'advantage' Everton have vs Manchester United

Carlo Ancelotti admits Everton should have a 'physical advantage' over Manchester United in their Premier League meeting this weekend.

United travel to Goodison Park in the early kick-off on Saturday just three days after returning home from their Champions League defeat away at Istanbul Basaksehir.

Speaking earlier in the week Ole Gunnar Solskjaer aimed a dig at the Premier League over United's fixture scheduling and revealed a request to move the Everton match to Sunday was rejected.

United are in desperate need of a response following successive defeats to Arsenal and Basaksehir with the pressure mounting on Solskjaer and Ancelotti admits Everton could prosper from the fixture congestion.

“It can be an advantage," Ancelotti said.

"As I said before, the top teams have a really, really big schedule so it is really difficult for them. So we can take advantage of this on a physical aspect, above all.

"But I think we did better when we had games every three days.

"But from a physical point of view, we have an advantage for sure.”
