It is a real dilemma for the three-time Champions League winner.
With a two-week break between Brighton and Liverpool some might be tempted to risk it. But with Fabian Delph left out of the trip to Palace completely - and impressing against Fleetwood - the former Manchester City man looks certain to start.
That begs another question. Where would Allan, Doucoure and Rodriguez fit into the line-up?
Gylfi Sigurdsson, Bernard and Alex Iwobi would all feel hard done by to miss out after pulling the strings against the League One side and, if anything, Anthony Gordon would be next in line to start after a lively showing from the bench.
Truth be told, the only changes Ancelotti might realistically make are in defence. Niels Nkounkou will surely continue at left-back while Yerry Mina could replace Lucas Digne to have two natural centre-backs in the middle.
But after a sloppy showing for Jordan Pickford against Fleetwood, could the Italian be tempted to install Jonas Lossl for an Everton debut?
