Carlo Ancelotti gives Everton transfer update and comments on Cenk Tosun's future

Carlo Ancelotti doesn't believe that Everton will be involved in any January transfer window business over the coming days.

The winter period has proven to be a relatively quiet one so far across the Premier League, with the only business concerning the Blues so far regarding some under-23s players leaving on loan.

Some sections of supporters have speculated on whether Everton need to make additions over the coming days in order to strengthen their squad for a European push.

But, Ancelotti confirmed that he still believes the club will be quiet over the next week or so.

The manager told his pre-Sheffield Wednesday press conference: "No, no changes.

"We really don't focus on this.

"I think we have a good squad, and if players don't ask to leave they are happy here and we have a good squad for the whole season."

The Everton boss was then asked about whether he expected players to leave the club in the coming days, but his response was clear again.

"No I don't think so," he added.

*Look back on every word Carlo Ancelotti said in his press conference.

One particular star that has had a lot of rumours regarding his future recently is Cenk Tosun.

The striker has been linked with a move away from Goodison Park in this January transfer window, with West Bromwich Albion being one of the clubs credited with an interest.

However, Ancelotti said there is "no news" regarding a potential exit for the Turkey international.

The boss remarked: "I didn't talk to him about this [staying for the rest of the season].

"He's part of the squad, he scored a goal against Rotherham, he did his job when he was involved.

"So no news for this."
