Carlo Ancelotti eyes Fulham raid as Everton prepare summer transfer moves

Everton are considering a move for Fulham midfielder Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa.

The Cameroonian has impressed this season despite the Cottagers' struggles and will be a target for several clubs if, as expected, they fail to avoid the drop.

Anguissa has had three assists, an average of 39 passes per match and a 47 per cent tackle success rate in the 20/21 campaign.

The star’s form comes on the back of an impressive campaign in La Liga with Villarreal last season.

saraAnd it has not been lost on Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti, who is a big admirer of the 25-year-old.

The belief is that Anguissa could add some dynamism and steel to the Everton midfield, which is something Ancelotti is looking to do this summer.

The player still has two years to run on his contract in west London and would cost around £25million.

Anguissa started his senior career at Marseille before joining Fulham in 2018.

However, following their relegation to the Championship he was loaned to Villarreal last season before returning after the club had confirmed their immediate return to the top flight.

The move would see Anguissa remain in the Premier League as Fulham look as though they will be relegated.

Everton are currently eighth in the league and they are hoping to secure European football as they are only six points outside of the top five.

Manager Carlo Ancelotti has described their next league match against West Ham as "vital" in the battle for Europe qualification.

He said: "If we want to stay in the fight every game is vital. That's how it was for this game, this game was really important.

"We missed a great, big opportunity. But it's not the last chance that we had, fortunately. We have other chances, but of course we have to change the attitude."
