Carlo Ancelotti confirms three Everton stars will miss Newcastle United clash through injury

Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed Richarlison, Alex Iwobi and Gylfi Sigurdsson will miss the upcoming clash with Newcastle United .

The Toffees will be looking to complete the league double over Steve Bruce's side after picking up a 2-1 victory at St James' Park .

Fabian Schar's equaliser proved in vain as a brace from Dominic Calvert-Lewin was enough to seal the points for Ancelotti's side.

Everton have not lost in the league since Ancelotti's arrival, picking up a 1-1 draw at West Ham United last time out.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Monday, Ancelotti confirmed he would be without three attackers for the visit of the Magpies.

Richarlison is recovering from a minor knee injury, while Iwobi and Sigurdsson have been ruled out by a hamstring and groin injury respectively.

Speaking to the club's website, Ancelotti said: "Richarlison trained today [Monday] but he still has pain, so he is not available.

"Iwobi is doing well but we don’t want to take a risk for the game. He will stay here [at USM Finch Farm] to train. Gylfi Sigurdsson is out.

"We have had a busy time, a lot of games. After this game, we have a period where we can train properly, have a good rest and, on the injury aspect, it will be better."

Ancelotti confirmed Michael Keane is also a doubt for Tuesday night's clash, with a neck problem keeping him out of the draw at the London Stadium on Saturday.

The Toffees' boss also addressed the ongoing rehabilitation of midfielders Andre Gomes and Jean-Philippe Gbamin.
