Carlo Ancelotti confirms Everton transfer meeting and targets Blues evolution

Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that the Everton hierarchy will meet next week to discuss transfer targets.

The Blues are facing up to another important summer window this year with an injection of quality desperately needed in a number of areas on the pitch.

With only a short turnaround expected until the beginning of next term, clubs may be forced to move quickly to secure their ideal targets before the 2020/21 season gets underway.

However, Ancelotti is staying calm over the matter and has confirmed when the Blues are set for a meeting over their strategy for the coming months.

He told his pre-Bournemouth press conference: "We decided to go to the end of the season and after that, as I've said a lot of times, we have time to prepare and to think about the new season and squad.

"We are going to meet next week and we are going to make a plan for the future."

Later in the press conference, Ancelotti was questioned over whether he believes the coming window will represent an evolution or revolution for the club.

The manager's response was clear and decisive.

"It will be for sure and evolution of the club," the Italian added.

"Everyone want to go to the next step, which is to improve. For sure next season we have to go up, there is no other way, with an evolution of the team.

"Better quality, better ambition, better motivation and more passion."
